 Intermittent fasting, or IF, is a dieting strategy in which people cycle between periods of eating and fasting. The idea behind IF is that by limiting the amount of time you spend eating, you allow your body to focus on healing and repairing itself, rather than constantly processing food. The image for this blog is ironically, incorrect. Right at the beginning of the fast, you can be ravenously hungry, but this hunger goes away very rapidly. In fact, I feel much fuller when I am fasting then at any other time. It's amazing really. There are a few different ways to do intermittent fasting, but one of the most popular methods is to fast for 16 hours and then eat during an 8-hour feeding window. This is called the 16/8 method.
